Dead Letter Box: Book Launch & Reading
Moon Tide Press is excited to announce its final book launch of 2019. Join us on Saturday, November 23rd at 6:00 p.m. at King Richard’s Antique Center in Whittier for the book release, reading, and signing of Terri Niccum’s second chapbook, Dead Letter Box.
Terri Niccum’s most recent chapbook, Dead Letter Box, was released last month by Moon Tide Press. Her first chapbook, Looking Snow in the Eye, was released in 2015 by Finishing Line Press. Recently, her poems have appeared in Dark Ink: A Poetry Anthology Inspired by Horror, and in Cadence Collective and the Incandescent Mind anthologies, Volume 2 and Selfish Work. Her work has also been featured in The Poeming Pigeon anthologies, From the Garden and Love Poems; Lummox Poetry Anthology 8; Nimrod International Journal; The Maine Review; Oberon Poetry 2018; Literary Orphans; Angel City Review; and Pretty Owl Poetry. She is married to singer-songwriter Bob Niccum and together they enjoy scouting out the live music scene in Southern California.
Along with Terri, joining us will be Deanna Woirhaye, the photographer who captured the shot the graces the front of Dead Letter Box. In her work she strives to seek what is beautiful, mysterious, and thought provoking. Photographically capturing singular moments in time that are exquisite, mysterious, and thought provoking is how Deanna Woirhaye, an accomplished Whittier-based photographer, chooses to explore the world and her surroundings. Her award-winning work has appeared in multiple Southern California art shows, exhibits, magazine covers, and now a book cover. Because she doesn’t want to be the only one who is taking in all of life’s glorious glimpses alone, Deanna takes photographs to share the joys she experience’s in the world.
