It's been a rich week for Peggy Dobreer, who co-featured Saturday evening at Mystic Journey Bookstore in Venice Beach. Tomorrow night, she'll read her work in Two Idiots Peddling Poetry at the Ugly Mug in Orange, and she promises to give a dynamic performance, as always.
Speaking of Mystic Journey, it's a beautiful spiritual bookstore with a nice reading area (a section at the back of the store elevated by stairs, which gives it the feeling of a stage). Jennifer Witt, who organized the show, put together a fine and eclectic group of features. It's worth checking out if they put on another poetry night there.
Anyway, the Ugly Mug is at 261 N. Glassell St., near the traffic circle in Old Town Orange, and the show starts at 8 p.m. Cover is $3. We hope to see you there!
