The Inlandia Institute and editors of Inlandia: A Literary Journal and Poemeleon: A Journal of Poetry invite you to join them for the launch of LitLandia, a new joint quarterly reading series which will bring together some of today's finest literary authors. The first installment of this new series will be held on Saturday, July 14 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Arlington Branch Public Library, 9556 Magnolia Ave., Riverside. The features are Brendan Constantine (pictured), Nicelle Davis, Larry Eby and Robbi Nester and the event is free and open to the public.

As founder and editor of both Poemeleon and Inlandia, Cati Porter says, "My heart is embedded in this terrain. There is so much talent here." The LitLandia series plans to showcase an array of inland Southern California's authors, some of whom are notables on the national literary scene.

Founded in 2005, Poemeleon is a nationally recognized online literary magazine which has previously hosted an annual summer reading series in Riverside. In 2010, the Inlandia Institute founded Inlandia as a means of spotlighting the authors who work or write in and/or about inland Southern California. Presented together as LitLandia, these two journals aim to offer audiences a "snapshot" of the current literary landscape, both on a regional and national scale, by bringing together two esteemed authors from each of the journals. The event will also feature a limited open mic for other writers in attendance who'd like to share their work.

The event is hosted by Cati Porter. Light refreshments and books by the authors will be available. For more information, please contact the Inlandia Institute at (951) 369-1564 or (951) 218-4464.
