Friends, strangers and strange friends,
I hope this finds you all well and keeping cool in the summer heat! I'm sweating storms over here, not due to a scorching sun, but rather to the excitement from my new chapbook, Here for the Friction! I cannot wait to share it with you all on Thursday, August 2 at Vinatero Wine Shop in Whittier and beyond!
But in the meantime…I've got two great goings-on next week that I'm honored to be a part of:
Tuesday, July 24, I'll be moderating for Red Hen Press at the Annenberg Beach House located at 415 Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica. Featured readers for the event include Brendan Constantine, Lillian-Yvonne Bertram, Lynnell Edwards and Nicelle Davis. The reading begins at 6:30 p.m. and is free to the public; however, parking is $4/hour and $8/day. For more information or to make reservations, click here.
Then on Thursday, July 26 from 3 to 5 p.m., I'll be a special guest on the Smitty & D Show radio program over on www.kdhr.net. The Smitty & D Show is a "no holds barred *uncensored* radio show filled with nonsense and a little chaotic lovin'." I'll be reading a few poems from my new chapbook, promoting the wine bar reading for the following week, and partaking in irrelevant talk radio shenanigans. This will be my third time on the show and it's always a lot of fun. I highly recommend you giving it a listen live by going to their website, or listening/watching it archived after it's aired here.
Next week's going to be a good one, and the week after that is going to be even more awesome come Wine & Poetry Night at Vinatero.
